After
several years working in recruitment, I know closely the limitations of our
work tools. The CV, the interview, the Personality Tests, etc. Unfortunately
they are limited and they also limit what we can learn from a person.
They limit
us to assess the candidate ability to learn and adapt, they show us only part
of the person and not all of it, we miss things that make up the complexity of
the person and what we can have as added value to our company.
From my
point of view, we often reject good candidates because, despite the complexity
of the positions today, we continue to use the same recruitment strategies that
we used years ago when the positions were less complex, more routine, as in the
famous Chaplin movie, Modern Times.
Today we
need innovation capacity, not only to find new solutions to old problems, but
also to improve existing solutions.
Working in
human resources implies a lot of responsibility, since our greatest resource is
a Human being, who come with all their problems and needs. Our mission is to
know how to respond to them in the best possible way, understand their
difficulties to help them improve. Propose a tailor-made career follow-up, be
realistic about each person's capabilities and limitations and always be
present and available to make our employees develop their full potential.
This and
other reasons have made me choose a career in the noble task of human
resources. I am a strong optimist and I firmly believe in the power of our
actions and in the direction that we will give to the world.
The objective of this website is to talk about my work, but also to give another version of myself, of my interests from those that make us human and different.
